Rags and Stubby Go to the Front: Working Animals of World War I

Grades 3 and up
WWI veteran animals will be featured including Cher Ami, a female passenger pigeon used to carry messages on the battlefield, Rags, US 1st Infantry Division mascot dog, and Sergeant Stubby, the most decorated dog in WWI. After the program, you will be able to meet a real life veteran and her service dog!

Literacy DuPage and Wheaton Public Library have partnered to give those learning English a chance to practice their conversation skills. Literacy DuPage tutors will guide conversations while students practice their language skills in a relaxed atmosphere. Intermediate and advanced speakers encouraged but all are welcome!
